Winter is Coming, So are the Holidays

It is that time of year again when we are so busy with new wines, wine dinners, TAILGATING, and Holiday planning.

One of our NEW EVENTS for the year will be our 1st ever WOW WINE TASTING, which will be held at Bella Bacino's, 75 East Wacker, Chicago, on Wednesday, December 2nd, from 1:30 pm until 4:00 pm. Master Sommelier Laura Williamson will prsent the wines. These are some of the most sought after wines in all of Italy and Iberia. These wines are highly allocated and very limited. You should have received your invitation. We only have room for 25 people, so make sure you call the office to reserve your spot, 630 655-9190. Only persons with reservations will be allowed at the tasting.

We continue to tailgate each home Bears game. Even though the Bears have let us down, the tailgates have all been winners. We invite any of you to attend at any home game we can be found on the top level of the Waldron Parking Deck, far south end. We will have our orange H2 Hummer, it is hard to miss. We love our new regulars which usually include, Mitch and his family from Twisted Spoke/Lush Wines, Josh from Il Poggiolo, Sean Hinsdale Wine Shop, Daniel from Small Vineyards, Favio Printers Row Wine Shop, and our friends who stop by for "only one glass of wine".

Even Mike McCaskey, owner of the Bears, stopped by to check out the Hummer.

New to the Portfolio

Pure Wine is proud to announce the addition of Small Vineyards. They have searched every corner of Italy and Iberia for the best small production wines you've never heard of.

Matt Scarlett, Midwest Sales Rep for The Other Guys, hosted Rick, Kathy, Troy & Lori on a trip to Seattle to watch the Bears play the Seahawks. Wow what a wonderful trip and a beautiful city. No wonder TOG is doing so well, Matt had things planned down to the minute. He thought of everything...even a Bears VICTORY!!! Sorry Matt, being a huge Seahawks fan didn't make the game very easy for him or his sweet wife Jasmine. Thanks again for a great weekend.

We are starting out the month of October strong with Jorge Perez from T. Edward who will be bringing in wine makers from Familia Mayol, Jelu and Vinedos de Los Vientoes. Bruce Patch, the Wine Guerilla will be coming in to tailgate with the gang before the Detroit game and will follow up with a meet and greet at Fresh Starts on Tuesday, October 6th. To round out the month we will have Sandy Huffin from Krupp Brothers, Todd Cromwell from Wineworth, Barry Richter from Testarossa, Carolyn & Mike Scheffel from Alpha Dogs and Antonio Sanquinetti from Small Vineyards visiting from Italy. WHEW!!!
